Chase reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
The summers are very hot. Usually in the upper 80s. There is not a ton of rain, but it has been known to rain for a few days straight. It is usually very humid on the hottest days.

It gets a little cool in the winter. Probably around the 302 and 40s. It snows on the coldest days, which are usually in January/February. The town doesn't have big snowstorms; just a couple of inches.
There really isn't much news about crime in the area. It's a more affluent town, so the crime rate is lower. The best parts of town are around the golf courses. One of the best neighborhoods is Deercroft, which is located about twenty minutes from downtown in a golf course community. Usually middle to upper class live there, including Caucasians and African Americans. The people are very friendly. Most try to be polite in the public sphere and there aren't any public altercations.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
The downtown shopping area is very nice. There is a train station, some independent bookstores, clothing stores, and also a store to buy hiking gear, such as boots, clothes, and equipment. The best restaurants are chains, such as Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, and Cracker Barrel. There are also several fast food joints. The public schools are high quality. There are some prestigious private schools, but the public schools are good themselves. The teachers care about what they do.There might be a few opportunities for singles. All of the golf courses, restaurants, and shopping centers are a good place to meet someone new.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
The only unusual noise source is located just before entering the town. It is a practice zone for the military, so their artillery and parachuting planes cause some noise.Aberdeen is almost by itself. One neighboring town is Southern Pines, which usually is referred to along with Aberdeen. The two are almost the same place. The next know town is Sanford, NC. It is a decent size, but mostly a pass-through town by the main highway. it has a few restaurants, but nothing compared to Aberdeen. The best hospital in the region is Moore County. That is one of the best places for people to travel when they are in serious need. The nicest places to visit around town is the movie theater. It is one of the nicest and most advanced around, with one which includes motion seats. Other nice areas are the golf courses, restaurants, and shops.
General comments
The town feels like a place where someone would go to retire. The community is made up of a lot of retirees and more affluent families. With several golf courses and communities, it is a popular spot for visitors. The PGA Tour has played a tournament there before.
