Weather | | How much crime? | | What are the neighborhoods like? | | What are the people like? |
Apex is one of the larger, more established areas of south raleigh. Apex carries the usually tendencies in weather as well. Apex is known for having hills everywhere you go (Hint why it's called Apex) and serves as a place that is throbbed with flooding issues at least twice a year. Hurricanes do not affect Apex at all and has never been close. Snow usually sticks more in this area because of the colder climate. Summers are moist and humid like most of central piedmont north carolina. | | Apex has no relevant crime. I witnessed a car getting keyed once, and that was not even directly involved with me. I visit my family all over south wake, and I've never seen one thing wrong with the town of Apex as far as crime goes. I do hear of some murders but those fluctuate from 1 every two or three years. Not a area for high crime. | | Brier Creek is the ideal destination to be at in Apex if you have a large amount of money. The area was built for top IT researchers and people who traveled to Raleigh who worked for the big companies. It still holds true now, as that's where most people live. 12 oaks is also a somewhat decent area with a high occurrence of underage drug use. Definitely a place people look out for when they look into buying a home. | | The people in apex are extremely friendly, everyone waves and shows common curiosity. Which i extremely love. Never had a problem when I visit Apex and stay there. The ethnic mix is one that draws a lot of attention, with it being a heavily populated Middle-Eastern and Indian demographic. Many private schools are built up by foreigners and are the top in the county because of their strict grading policies and teaching. |
Downtown Area | | Restaurants | | Schools | | Single life |
Downtown has a great feel because of the shops are fun to visit and shop at. Patagonia stores and Apex Outfitters dominate downtown and pull a variety of customers. I shopped there everyday when I got out of work because of the sweet deals they had on Southern Marsh, Vineyard Vines, and Patagonia. | | Firehouse subs and grill is where everyone in apex eats at. it's a national chain, however this Firehouse has been known to be the best in the area. Everyone goes and enjoys it so much. Apex lacks individual staple places to eat. Chevy Ale House is the next popular joint, it houses grilled food and an awesome place to watch games. | | Apex High and Middle Creek are the high schools in Apex, accompanied by many other small elementary schools and private academies. In general Apex sets a better standard than most compared to other schools in the county. I would recommend to attend school in Apex than the surrounding areas. | | Not that big of an opportunity for singles. Most people in apex are with families. However the new development of apartment complexes next to the beaver creek shopping center could spark some young inflow for singles. |
Noise | | town comparison vs. | | Best hospital | | Tourist attractions |
Highway 55 and US-1 are both centered around apex, so there are instances where traffic noise can get to you. However that's what comes with living in a high functioning area such as Apex. | | Apex is really the more developed of the south wake triad. Much more developed than Fuquay and Holly Springs, albeit it lacks the diversity of Cary it holds dominance with its resources. Apex is second to none and it is usually called the child of raleigh. | | Best hospital is Rex Healthcare Hospital. Rex is funded and supported by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Which produces some of the best doctors and nurses. Rex birthed most of my nieces and cousins. I love it, and they show the best care. | | Nicest Places to visit has got to be beaver creek to catch some movies and ice cream, Chevy Ale House to catch a big time sporting event, and also to visit downtown and catch a little history of the town looking at the nice buildings. Apex is an old town and holds some appealing areas with amazing structures. |
General comments | | | | | | |
From the looks of Apex you can see the classic feel of a small town that's grown to an established research area. Everything is well developed and planned out. Not one extremely bad spot in town and you always feel safe in most of the places you're in. There is also a real great assortments of shops to visit and hang out in. It's got a homey feel. | | | | | | |
