Weather	How much crime?	What are the neighborhoods like?	What are the people like?
If you ever heard the statement "If you don't like the weather stick around awhile", then this is the place for you. The weather in this rural city can be warm and dry one week and cold and wet the next. This small rural city has much the same weather as the rest of south Louisiana. Hot summers and cold winters. Mostly warmer days in this climate. Possible snow once or twice a winter if you are lucky enough to see it. Hot and humid summers. Wet periods and dry periods.	There isn't much serious crime such as murders and there is a robbery every now and then. There are always the people that want to act up and seem to be drunk or high on something but overall a typical American coubtry attitude in this small town.	There is a couple of bad places known of in this town that people tend to stray away from. these places are known to be places where if you are loitering you are up to no good. There are several sections in this town that are not bad at all. Mostly this town is known for the sections so people can identify certain parts of the neighbor hoods.	Most of the time people are very friendly. You do get greeted with smiles and an overall general welcome from most people. They do tend to welcome even strangers with open arms provided that the people from other places come here with the willingness to do the right thing!

There is a street where you can walk in downtown where there exists shopping stores that fit this area. Also has a Super Walmart.	As with any other southern town there is a huge choice when it comes to your choice of food. Restaurants that cater to any taste from Mexican to Italian can be found in the area. Also several seafood buffets.	Bogalusa has their own school systems. They are not tied into the parish school system where they are located. Their is also several private and catholic school systems in the area. Northshore Technical Community College is also located in this area. These systems seem to meet the various needs of the area youth very well.	There are a few places for nightlife in the area. More opportunities in this small town than any other surrounding towns. Also a strong Mardi Gras organization is a staple in this area.

The paper mill makes for a noisy place because of the trucking noises and production noises that comes with a big production mill. There is an airport nearby but it is small with only small plane traffic.	Bogalusa is in many ways just like the other surrounding rural towns that are located within twenty minutes. Very similar when it comes to the type of people that are included in and around this small town.	LSU Medical Center is located in Bogalusa. St. Tammany Regional Hospital is about Thirty minutes away.	Cassidy park is a nice place to visit. There is an Indian Museum and a Pioneer Museum in this park. Also many different seasonal activities are held in this park. The Pearl River is nearby for outdoorsman to enjoy.
General comments
I am very comfortable with the people in this town. There is a community technical college in the area that brings in a lot of young people willing to learn. It is also known as a mill town with a paper mill located in the heart of town.
