Are you thinking of moving or relocating to Bridgman, Michigan? Would you like to know what the quality of life is like living in Bridgman?
Tammy Foster reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
The temperatures in the summer are usually rather warm in Bridgman, they run between 70 and 85 degrees, at times, they can even reach somewhere in the 90's if you figure in the humidity. In spring, temperatures are usually around 50 to 60 degrees. In fall, temperatures are also usually around 50-60 degrees. However, in the winter temperatures can fall way below zero, especially when the wind comes off of Lake Michigan. You should expect rain during spring, summer and fall, especially during August and September. In addition, you should prepare yourself to see plenty of snowfall in the winter, sometimes there is over 15 inches of snow on the ground during winter months.Thefts are the most common types of crimes that occur in Bridgman, however, my uncle lives in this town and has never had anything stolen from his property. On the other hand, his neighbor had a bike stolen one time a few months ago. There has been a couple car thefts and arsons reported in the town, as well. I have never heard or seen anything about murders happening here. Once I think my uncle said he was told about someone reporting a rape. Of course, there are minor crimes that occur in Bridgman like traffic violations and an occasional domestic disturbance violation. There are some luxurious houses on Wecko Drive and Deer Path, many of these homes are newly built or remodeled with a new modern design. This area is South of Lake Street and West of Highqway 94, a lot of residents consider this a good area of town. There are older house on Gast Road, but as far as I know, nobody has ever said anything about this area of town being bad. There are more white people than any other race living in Brigman. You can expect to see only a few people from other races living here.Everyone has always been nice to us when we have visited my uncle, I have never ran into anyone who has been mean or nasty. There are more white people living here than other races. In addition, there are almost the same number of men as there are women. Most of the residents over 25 have at least a high school education and many of attended some college. Personally, I think anyone who is white, fairly educated and enjoys living by a beautiful Lake (like Lake Michigan) would fit very well in this town.

The shopping is okay, there are a few markets and other smaller stores that we like to visit when we are in town. The Olympus Restaurant offers some really tasty food. The public schools system is really good, teachers and students seem to get along well. Many singles like hanging out the Get-A-Grill and Chubbies Bar when they want to mingle with other singles.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
Myers airport is in Bridgman, but I have never heard anyone complain about the noise being a problem.Stevensville is a neighboring town to Bridgman, these towns are about 10 minutes from one another. Bridgman is larger than Stevensville and has about 800 - 1000 more residents. Harbart is another neighboring town to Bridgman, it is larger than Stevensville, but not as big as Brigman. If I were to choose which town to live in I would pick Stevensville because it has fewer residents so there is less chaos in the it. Stevensville doesn't offer as much as far as shopping, but it is close enough to Brigman so shopping is never a problem. The hospital that most residents go to for medical care is in St. Joseph, which is another neighboring town to Bridgman. The nicest place is Wecko Beach, this place is very pretty and so relaxing.
General comments
The scenery is spectacular, the air and land seems to be super clean. The residents are nice. My uncle loves living in this town. My whole family loves visiting and camping at Weko Beach Park & Campground. The beach offers several acres of beachfront for swimming and relaxing, which I love doing on our trips to Bridgman. There are several trails for biking, which my grandkids love riding on, actually we all enjoy them. Overall, this is a pleasant and loving place, we visit my uncle about three times a year and enjoy this town.
