Tammy Foster reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
It can be pretty warm in Bronson during the summer months. I have seen it get up into the high 90's due to the humidity. For the most part, temperatures are usually in the 70's and 80's. In spring and fall, temperatures are usually between 45 and 60 degrees. In addition, it gets pretty cold in the winter, sometimes temps drop well below zero due to the wind chill factor. It does rain during summer, spring and fall. especially in August. You can expect to see snow on the ground during the winter months. There has been many times when over 15 inches of snow fell on the town of Bronson. The crime isn't really that bad in this town, but you can expect to hear about thefts occurring several times within a year. There was one or two murders reported within the past five years. In addition, a few rapes also have been reported, as well. Overall, as far as major crimes are concerned the crime rate is below the average of other Michigan cities. Of course, you should expect to see or hear about minor crimes like traffic violations and stuff of that nature. There are some really pretty and modern houses on Fair Drive and Booth Road, many of these homes were built years ago, but have been kept up well or remodeled. There are several people living in Bronson who would say this is a good area of town. You can find older, less updated houses on Douglas and N. Walker Street. Although, most people still consider this a good area of town, it is by the Bronson Library and Douglas Park. There are mostly white people living in this town, only a few other races reside here. The people seem to be very nice here, I visited this town just a few weeks ago to spend time with a friend of mine and everyone was pretty friendly. There are mostly white people who live in Bronson, I only seen a few other races when I was visiting here. There are about the same number of men and women living in this town and it appeared that most residents range between 30 and 40 years old. Plus, whenever I seen a couple together it seemed they always had kids with them. I would say if you are a white couple with children than this town would be the perfect fit for you.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
There are several cool shops downtown, one of my favorites was called "Little Hippo".You can get great steaks at Bill's Steakhouse. The schools are very good, my friend's children go to the high school and they really like it.Many singles drive into Sturgis or Coldwater, which are neighboring towns to Bronson, when they want to mingle with other singles.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
Bronson is located on highway 12, which means occasionally the traffic that travels this highway can cause loud noises thus disturbing the residents here.Sturgis is a neighboring town to Bronson, these two towns are about 15 minutes from one another. Bronson is much smaller than Sturgis, but it also doesn't have as much in regard to entertainment. Coldwater is also a neighboring town to Bronson, these two towns are also only about 15 minutes apart from one another. Bronson is also smaller than Coldwater. Matter of fact, Coldwater and Sturgis have almost the same number of residents, I believe, each town as about 10,000 residents. If I were to choice which town to live in, I would pick Bronson because it is smaller, even a person who to live in Bronson they could quickly drive to one of the bigger cities in the region for entertainment.Bronson Healthcare facility is a good place to go if your need medical assistance.Honey Lake Campground is very peaceful and relaxing, nice place to camp.
General comments
The town is really pretty, the environment seems to be very clean. People treat others with respect, which impresses me. The downtown area has a lot of older styled buildings, but I love visiting towns that have a little history to them. I went into some of the shops downtown and although the outside of the building looked old the inside was in very good shape. Shopkeepers were nice and helped when I asked questions about their merchandise. Overall, I would say this is a cute peaceful town.
