Maggie reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
The weather is usually cold here. In the summer months the weather averages up to 83 degrees and as low as 48 degrees in the winter months. The hottest months are in August and September and the coldest months are in February and December. Heavy rain and flooding occur but there are no hurricanes, tornadoes, or snow in this city. This city is generally safe. The crimes that occur here are mainly theft and burglary. My best friends home had been broken into a few months ago and from what I've heard this is the only kind of crime that mostly occurs in this town. The better parts of this town are by Hillside Dr. and Bernal Ave, El Camino Real, and Carmelita Ave. The lower quality parts of the town are the city center and Occidental Ave. The homes in the nicer parts of town are all of upper class and many white and Asians reside here. The homes are mainly newly built with some older built homes that range between a million dollars to $2.5 million dollars. The lower parts of town are mainly white and Hispanic and the median prices are $925,000.Majority of the people in this town are of the upper class and make good money. Older people who are well educated with business's would best fit in this town. The median range is 40 years old. Those who are not well educated or don't have much income would have a hard time living here because the homes are all of a higher price range. The people are generally nice and a bit snobby. Everyone is very family oriented and respectful.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
The downtown shopping area is very enjoyable here and offer many options of what to do when shopping whether it be clothing, restaurants, or department stores. Some of the best restaurants in this town are Kincaids Restaurant, Benihana, and taste in Mediteranean food. There are many highly qualified teachers and the school district in this town are of high quality. Students and definitely ensured to receive the best education. The schools have minimal crime rate. There are many bars and restaurants available in this city for singles.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
There aren't any airports nearby however there are some nearby highways that might be bothered by the sound of the cars on the highway. The neighboring town is Hillsborough and compared to Burlingame it is much more beautiful with very expensive homes. The scenery and trees are breathtaking. It is definitely much easier on the eyes. Burlingame is a nice city as well with nice homes. Both cities are great for those who are retired or making good money and its all up to preference in regards to which city is better to live in. I'd prefer to live in Burlingame only because it has more shops near by and has a family oriented feel to it.A local hospital in this town is Mills-Peninsula Hospital. The staff in the emergency room are very professional and get you into seeing a doctor as soon as possible. The staff are all well trained and the medical professionals are of top quality. One of the nicest places to visit is Hillsdale Shopping Center, GoKart Racer, Crystal Springs Golf Club and Museums.
General comments
This town is very different compared to other places, most of the homes are not near shops and you need to drive a bit to get to local shops. The neighborhoods are beautiful and the homes are all different in appearance. The city is not overly crowded and is very clean. You will not find any graffiti or trash laying around. There are many trees in the neighborhood as well and the people are generally welcoming. This town is very upper class compared to its neighboring towns and I get the general feeling of feeling accomplished if I were able to live here. It gives you the feeling of wanting to motivate yourself to own property here.
