Are you thinking of moving or relocating to Cedaredge, Colorado? Would you like to know what the quality of life is like living in Cedaredge?
Brooke Rice reports in this review:
Weather | | How much crime? | | What are the neighborhoods like? | | What are the people like? | Cedaredge has a beautiful climate. It is rare that temperatures over 90 degrees occur in the Summer, and that temperatures under 20 degrees occur in the Winter. There is sunshine in the Summer, snow in the Winter, and rain in the Spring. My favorite time of year is Fall, when all of the leaves on Grand Mesa change colors! The climate allows for perfect growing weather, and because of this, Cedaredge is known for the apples grown around the area. The town hosts "Applefest" every year in August! | | The only crimes that I have witnessed in Cedaredge were a series of mailbox bashings in a nice subdivision. The town cops quickly resolved the issue. | | There is a great deal of town that is nice, and only a small part that is a "bad" part of town. The worst part of Cedaredge is the South part of town. It is still pretty quiet there, but the houses are not as nice, and there are a couple of trailer parks that sometimes have stray animals running around. The best part of town is on Cedar Mesa. There are gorgeous houses, beautiful views off of the Mesa, and there is very little crime. | | People are small-town friendly in Cedaredge. The longer you are there, the nicer folks are! There are many retirees there, but there are younger people as well. The people are generally middle-class and caucasian, but there is diversity in Cedaredge as well. | Downtown Area | | Restaurants | | Schools | | Single life | The best place to shop in Cedaredge is the "Apple Shed". It is a local art gallery run by Connie Williams, a resident of Cedaredge, and an outstanding artist. The "Apple Shed" is a gallery, but also has many small shops, and is right at the center of Cedaredge. | | The best restaurant in town is RJ's Steak House, right on the South edge of town. The food is delicious, and the price is fair. | | The public schools are some of the best around. Hunsicker Elementary is great, in particular. The teachers there are enthusiastic and love their jobs, and the students they teach. | | There are very few restaurants/bars in town, but there are many opportunities if a single person is willing to drive about an hour! | Noise | | town comparison vs. | | Best hospital | | Tourist attractions | There are no unusual noise sources in Cedaredge. The only noise that is ever really heard is the siren that goes off every day at noon! | | The closest neighboring town is Eckert, CO, followed by Cory, CO, which are both smaller, so small in fact that residents travel to neighboring towns for school and work, and further to the South. The further to the South, through these three towns, the warmer it gets. Out of the three, I believe Cedaredge to be the best because of the views, the greenery, and the size of the town. | | The best hospital in that area is St. Mary's hospital in Grand Junction, CO. There is also a hospital in Delta, CO, half an hour from Cedaredge, but Grand Junction's is definitely the best in the area. The Cedaredge Doctor's Office is phenomenal, however. Dr. Wade is a great family physician. | | The nicest places to visit in Cedaredge include the "Apple Shed", "Aspen Trails", "Pioneer Town", and Grand Mesa. Grand Mesa has over 200 fishable lakes, Powderhorn Ski Area, and countless opportunities for hiking. | General comments | | | | | | | Cedaredge is the most beautiful place I have been. The town is quaint, yet brilliant, and has a feel of sophisticated grace about it. | | | | | | |
