Weather is fantastic here. Chino Hills is located in the suburbs of Los Angeles, so the weather here is definitely classic Southern California sunshine for the most part. During the winter time, nights can be a bit chilly, and you can expect some rainfall, but nothing ever too extreme. | | I have not heard of any crime in the area really. It is a very safe suburban neighborhood where the residents are extremely family oriented, or are young couples looking to settle down and start families of their own. | | Chino Hills is overall a wealthy neighborhood. There are many gated communities where the upper class live, and middle class can be found in non-gated communities. One of the nicest gated communities is located in the Canyons, and is called Oak Tree Downs. The houses in this gated community are all valued at over one million dollars. Middle to lower class residents can be found in the apartment complexes scattered throughout the city, but even these complexes are all very well maintained and do not read as a "bad" part of town. | | This town is great for middle-aged couples with young children to teens, and also seniors. The streets are tree-lined, so great for people who are looking to settle down in a suburban neighborhood and take life slowly. Chino Hills is not for young people looking for a ton of excitement and who would prefer city life.
The ethnicities of this town are majority caucasian and asian. There are some hispanics and blacks, but not as much as there are caucasian and asian. |

The downtown shopping area is very nice! There are a ton of shopping centers along the borderline of Chino Hills and Chino. My favourite is The Shoppes at Chino Hills, it has many mainstream stores such as H&M, Vans, Trader Joe's, Barnes and Nobles, and Sunglass Hut. This shopping center is an outdoor one. It's extremely clean and pleasant to visit. | | I love the Yard House Bar & Grill, located at The Shoppes at Chino Hills. Great fusion dishes. There is also a California's Pizza Kitchen in the same area, PF Chang's China Bistro, Bruxie, and RA Sushi Bar. All great restaurants to visit. | | The public schools are great, a little overcrowded for my taste since I've been used to private schooling, but they are good and the facilities are great as well. | | Yes! Tons of opportunities for meeting other singles, and a lot of great date spots in Chino Hills (movie theater, parks). |
Noise | | town comparison vs. | | Best hospital | | Tourist attractions |
There are no nearby planes, or highways so it is a pretty quiet town. | | Diamond Bar is a neighboring town, and I personally would prefer to live in Chino Hills mainly because Chino Hills reads as a much safer place to me. Diamond Bar has much more people traffic, not a ton of green landscape, and the shopping areas are not as clean. Cost of living is lower there, so the people there are have lower incomes.
Chino is another neighboring town to Chino Hills. It is more of an "extension" to Chino Hills if anything, so a lot of the same qualities of Chino Hills can be found in Chino. There are two high schools in Chino that residents of Chino Hills will send their children to, and Chino also houses the major shopping mall that Chino Hills residents visit. I would still say it would be my preference to live in Chino Hills, since many of the houses are built on top of hills and you just can't beat the view! | | The local hospital is called the Pomona Valley Health Centers Chino Hills. I have never visited this hospital. | | One of my favourites is the English Springs Park in Chino Hills. There is a huge lake, lots of duck, geese and turtles. Grass, and weeping willow trees all around. Very beautiful place to take your family, friends, or for a date. Another great place to visit in the town is the Chino Hills James S. Thalman Branch Library. It's huge, and has an amazing collection of books. The decor inside is beautiful, high high ceilings, tons of seating areas for studying or quiet book reading. A lovely place to be. |

This town feels like home to me, of course (it's where I grew up). It is an extremely safe suburban town, with great sunny weather and tons of green grass, tree lined streets, and community parks. It is a town for middle-higher income families. No tall buildings to cloud the natural views. The landscape of this town is great, it's called Chino HILLS for a reason! Lots of homes built on top of hills. It is a relaxing place to be. | | | | | | |
