Mahamed Mohamed reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
Minnesota is usually burdened with brutal winters and summers where the weather turns into humid and tropical settings. Visiting EP during the summer was interesting because it was much like the temperature of the south. The humidity levels are through the roof and the air is very moist and damp. Rain wasn't as bad and the snow during the winter is what gets everybody when it comes to transportation and travel.Eden Prairie is home to a lot of immigrants from Mexico, and Somalia. Crime rates differ on websites, but from being there you can see that an abundance of crime goes down in the city and the ones that surround it. Theft, and battery are some of the common crimes you see in the more populated areas. You usually see it when you go to the Somali populated districts (Shopping Center).Flying Cloud is one of the best places to live in Eden Prairie, the resources that are available to you at this neighborhood are second to none. It's usually described as an area that is housed by people who are white. This neighborhood has houses that usually range within the $400,000 price so it's a great place to live. Rowland is also a tough place to live, albeit it has a few good houses. Many people here are subject to theft and incoming individuals from the apartment areas hanging around there territory. This area is mixed with Asians and people of African decent.People are extremely friendly in Eden Prairie. Many people don't realize that many people are nicer in EP then they are in Minneapolis. Minnesota in general is one of the nicest states you can live in. Everyone has a laid back feeling and a really nice outlook on life. They hunt, and have attractions that brings everyone together. The ethnic mix floats around Somali and American. That is what dominates the state and EP because of Minnesota being a destination for refugees.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
The downtown area is pretty neat, in which every district has certain respectable shopping centers. You can find places like Charming Charlies and Bijuju. Which are very popular with the girls in the area. You can find your typical small mom-and-pops and retail stores downtown. It's a great place to take someone out and have a good time.Wildfire is a popular restaurant that is eaten at in EP. It's a traditional steakhouse and everyone flocks to eat their steaks. Lions trap is also a popular place to eat. It has a lot of American styled sandwiches that are loved by the locals. The schools here are good. Even though a lot of immigrant's children do attend and overpopulate, the school system has done a good job handling everything and still presenting wonderful education. It's a good place to meet young people and other people in different ethnic backgrounds. Sometimes people are interested in significant others who share a diverse background.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
There's an airport in Minneapolis, so you do hear your occasional boeing jet fly over. However there are no protrusive sources of noise pollution in the area.Eden Prairie is a powerhouse compared to other cities and towns that surround it. Many say the town of Burnsville which is similar in demographics with the type of people is similar to EP. However the established nature and the sustainability of Eden Prairie is second to none.Fairview is the closest hospital in the region, and is a very reputable establishment. I've had family members go there and enjoy the service and get great treatment. It's for sure a hospital that you would be safe visiting. If you ever visit Eden Prairie it's a must to go out and visit the abundance of lakes. Round lake park is a spot you should visit, filled with water sports and places to eat around the park. You can get a good look at the scenic beauty of Minnesota, and get a healthy contribution as well.
General comments
To me Eden Prairie seems like a major city, with an abundance of resources. Plenty of schools, and shopping centers surround this city and truly makes it a place that is both diverse and your view of the typical american household. Eden Prairie is always a favorite place to visit for me and I go back every year.
