There's also a lot of really good, innovative development. If you had to generalize Fairfield, you would say that everything West of I-80 (Green Valley all the way to Vacaville) is GOOD.
Houses range in value from anywhere between roughly 189k - 22 million with more than a handful of homes on the market over 1 million.
Bransford Ct is located on the other side of I-80, which is what most of Fairfield is. Its neighborhoods are typically family-oriented and has a large range. Each neighborhood is
a case-by-case basis. The further you go past Pennsylvania, the spottier it will get in parts but it really just depends. E. Tabor is the most notorious street in Fairfield. When you're out past Texas and E. Tabor and continuing on E. Tabor, you'll find a lot of lower-income families and a lot of apartments. There are areas near Armijo High School off of Texas street past downtown that are on the shady side, and there are some apartments off of Pennsylvania before downtown that aren't very good. Fairfield doesn't really try to impress others, if you ask me. I think people think it's rougher than it really is.
| | Depending on what part of town you are in, there can be some shady characters walking around but everyone looks and seems to be doing there own thing. With an Air Force Base located just out of town there are a lot of Military families living within the city. This does cause a lot of transients within the city of varied ethnicity. Most people there are nice, pleasant, and willing to give you assistance. On the side of(I-80 north) across from the largest area of Fairfield is where you would find the biggest diversity of races and people whom rent instead of own their own homes. This area is mostly monthly rentals and apartments as compared to the other side (south of I-80) which is mostly family owned homes. |

General comments | | | | | | |
All in all, Fairfield is a nice town that is primarily a town populated by Air Force personnel whom are serving at Travis A.F.B. The rest of the town is filled with diversity and ethnic culture. With San Francisco only a half an hour away, you do get a lot of the overnight tourists on their way home, which along with the service personnel provide most of the commerce for this "quaint" little town. I have been there several times, and it has always left a good impression on me. After all, I was born at Travis A.F.B., and lived there until I was around 3 when my father retired from the military. | | | | | | |
