WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
Summers are especially warm. Winters can be cold, but there is not usually much snow. There can be frequent thunderstorms during the fall and spring.A few months ago there was a string of car break ins in the parking lots of the office buildings in Franklin.Franklin is mostly nicer homes. There are very few bad areas. All of the subdivisions and farms have nice homes, even mansions. Lots of the country music stars have homes and farms in this area. The people are mostly friendly, though they are affluent and might be somewhat judgmental about how outsiders dress or act. It is mostly white people and they either commute to Nashville or work in the offices in Franklin.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
There is tons of shopping in Franklin. There's a large mall, the Cool Springs Galleria, and lots of smaller strip malls with a variety of stores.Because of the large mall in Franklin, there are tons of dining options. Some of the best restaurants are Wild Wing Cafe, for over 20 different kinds of chicken wings, Old Chicago, for great Chicago-style pizza, and Maniac's for chicken fingers.Franklin is known for the high quality of its public schools. There are some opportunities for singles. Lots of restaurants and most of the bars are in restaurants, but there are sports bars and it's not a long drive to Nashville.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
There are very few unusual noise sources unless you were near one of the schools and might overhear noise from a ball game.Outside of Nashville, this is one of the larger towns in the area. It's got more shopping than anywhere nearby. For any emergencies, you would be transported a few miles away to Nashville. The best hospital there would be Vanderbilt. The nicest areas are the mall and Cool Springs Boulevard, which has a variety of shopping and dining options.
General comments
The town is really nice. There's a wide variety of dining and shopping. It's comfortable and safe. There's always a police presence and I've never felt uncomfortable there. The people are generally pretty friendly.
