Weather | | How much crime? | | What are the neighborhoods like? | | What are the people like? |
Hillsboro is a lot like the rest of the towns in Oregon when it comes to weather. It is mild in the spring and fall and rains a lot. The summers are not too hot and average around 65-70. The winters are cooler then some places and a lot warmer then others. It might snow once or twice a year but not much and it doesnt last long. | | The crime here is mainly theft and vandalism, along with some violence. I have never had an issue with crime here except by a roommate who stole some of my things.
| | Downtown Hillsboro is kind of run down, and there are a lot of other places in the area that are too. It is an older place and it is obvious. There is no good or bad part of town, its pretty much all the same. A lot of the people here are either Hispanic or white.
| | The Hispanic and white folks of Hillsboro will treat you with kindness. Not overly friendly like your folks that live way out, but like your folks who live right outside of a big city.

Downtown Area | | Restaurants | | Schools | | Single life |
Down town is rather run down and bare. They have recently just started to open up new shops in the strip of down town, but it still doesn't seem much like a down town to me. I can walk the whole down town and window shop in about 15 minuets. | | Gengis Kan Grill is one of my favourites. Orenco Station grill is a new one that is really good too. Id also recommend Romano's Macaroni Grill.
| | The schools are OK. I only know of one I was involved in and the teachers there are very wonderful and very involved with the children's education. I just think they need more things for the kids to do, after school. | | Yes, there is opportunity here for singles if thats what they are looking for. They also have a greater advantage because most people who are here also frequently visit the surrounding towns and cities and those from those towns often visit Hillsboro often too.

Noise | | town comparison vs. | | Best hospital | | Tourist attractions |
There isn't any unusual noise sources unless you live right by one of the main streets. It is pretty mellow and quiet other then that. Oh, and or the trains.
| | Aloha, Beaverton and Cedar Mills is close by and I think Cedar Mills is the nicest and cleanest around. Aloha I would say second, then Beaverton. These places are bigger then Hillsboro, or they at least have a lot more you can do there. Hillsboro isn't small, it is just old and forgotten it seems. Cedar mills has cool shopping malls and a lot of different places to eat. Same as the other places.
| | Tuality Community Hospital is my favourite, some others don't agree. My experience with them was awesome, and they helped me even though I had no medical insurance.
| | There is a cool fountain that the city just put in not long ago and its fun to hang out at in the summer time and read a book, or cool off in. Jackson Bottom Wetlands is a cool place to go for a hike or spend the day just appreciating outside. There is a skate world where you can go roller skate, a cultural arts center or you can just hop on over to a town near you to find even more to do.

General comments | | | | | | |
This town looks like it needs to be cleaned to me in some parts. During the summer it is dry and dusty, and dirty looking. Not to bash it, but that's just how I see it. There are a lot of questionable little spots as far as weather or not it is safe, but it ends up being just the same as any other part in the area. I wouldn't choose to live here if given the choice to do so.
