The winters in Minnesota are about the worst thing you could imagine. Have you ever been inside a freezer door, well Minnesota is 10 times colder than that. Not only is it deadly cold in Hopkins, Minnesota is it cold all over MInnesota! We can get 30 below zero! Also, the winds are harsh, roads are slushy, really bad traffic, cold, cold and more cold. Oh and we are now in the end of March headed to April, and there is STILL snow on the ground. That is crazy. Minnesota winters last very long. We usually do not get a "Spring" it just skips right to Summer. :( I wish to feel a beautiful Spring Weather, but don't think I ever will, living in Hopkins, Minnesota, or any city in MInnesota, it all cold! Summers in MInnesota are too humid! It can go up to 100 degrees or even more (sometimes 104.) I don't like the summer and do not like the winter here at all, I guess Minnesota is not the state I should live in for good whether.Okay, I actually did witness a crime. This is scary for me to reflect back on this memory but here goes...

My family and I own a family business in Hopkins which is a pizza place. We always close on the three say weekend, on Memorial day. When we came in Sunday to just clean and get everything in order for re-opening on Tuesday, we find our entire register gone! The whole entire thing was pulled out and there were pennies and dropping of quarters of where the crime took place. It was a really scary feeling- someone broke into our store. Immediately my father calls 9-1-1 and they investigate but sadly never got back to us, letting us know who stole it and where our register was, that contained $400+ dollars inside of it. We lost a lot that day and sadly could not even turn in the thief that committed the crime...
A good part of town in Hopkins is right near the Pizza Luc', a pizza place, not the one my family owns but a very good and excellent place to dine! Over in that area of hopkins, there are a few black race hanging around near the laundry store are. It can be dangerous sometimes to be walking around near Pizza Luc' and the Laundry store because, black people are sometime yelling at each other, just wondering around, with nothing to do. However it can also be a good place at hopkins with very kind and respectful people, most of the white race. The race of black only hand around there like on Sundays, but usually it is a very respectful and super clean place in Hopkins. :)

The nice houses in Hopkins are right in my neighborhood! Well, that is at least one place I know that has a very clean and respectful neighborhood. Everyone in my neighborhood are kind, respectful and always help each other out. For an example, one time my car could not back out of the drive way because of the thick (6- 7 inches of snow on the ground,) and my neighbor came rushing over to help with a shovel and push my car out. It is an excellent neighborhood.
The people are very friendly in Hopkins/respectful. The ethnicity are mixed ' black, white, Mexican, etc. Everybody just minds their own business. However, although people mind their own business, when you need help, you will find a good member from Hopkins to give you a hand, whether your car is stuck, you can't reach something at the grocery, or you just tripped and fell! A good Hopkins citizen will always pull out a hand to assist you.

The shopping in Hopkins is pretty limited, since the town is so small. There are small shops there, but they are usually overpriced. Hopkins, is definitely where i stay for a shopping experience, Bloomington is where you want to go for sales.

Oh, I almost forgot! The only good place to shop in Hopkins is at "Kohls." There are alway clearance prices and coupons to use there.
The best restaurants are Pizza Luce', Five Guys, Caribou Coffee and Cousin Subs. At least those are the good place I personally have been too, there are dozens more to choose from!Public schools are very good here in Hopkins. My brother goes to high school. He catches the bus in the early morning, at 7:00 a.m. and school starts at 8:35 a.m.

My brother is very educated, so I know he is getting a good education. He tells me that his teachers are fun and that makes it easier to come to them when in need of help. Also, he comes home with a lot of homework, so you know the public schools are doing something right. :)

I personally, have never seen a better opportunity finding a match in Hopkins than another state or town, for instance.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
You don;y really hear any unusual noise, but you do see planes up in the sky from time to time, which is really nice. :)A similar town to Hopkins is Minneapolis. They both are respectful, clean and will lend a helping hand when necessary. Also, the whether is always the same in both towns, but not down in Bloomington, MN. Bloomington is less cold, I hear from friends! I live far from Bloomington, however...The best Hospital in the region is almost in Hopkins, but just like 5 minutes away in St. Louis Park. St. Louis Park has a very friendly staff that really care about helping you. :)I think the nicest place to live in, in Hopkins is right in my neighborhood! Friendly people helping hands, clean and quiet environment, just like anyone loves it!
General comments
The town feels to me like a safe, respectful, clean place to live in. I feel very safe in my neighborhood and love how everyone respects each other and does not make any noise whats so ever. It is such a good neighborhood. One time, my neighbor gave me a bike, just because she saw me using a small bike! She told me she does not use her bike much and it would be more useful to me. :)She gave it to me for absolutely no cost, for free. So sweet of her and a wonderful neighborhood.
