Are you thinking of moving or relocating to La Crescenta-Montrose, California? Would you like to know what the quality of life is like living in La Crescenta-Montrose?
Maggie reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
The weather is usually hot in the summers averaging up to 91 degrees and in the winter it can be quite cold averaging around 47 degrees with some heavy rain and winds. There are no snow, hurricanes or tornado's in the city. This city is generally one of the safest cities to live in. The only crime I've heard of happening in this city are property crimes. I knew of somebody whose home had been broken into a few years ago and a few incidences with theft have also occurred. The best parts of this town are up by La Canada Flintridge, Honolulu Ave, Rosemont Ave, and Briggs Terrace. Some of the lower quality parts of town would be the homes near Foothill blvd leading to Tujunga.
The homes in the nicer parts of town are all of upper class and many White or Asians reside here. The homes are older and well established and were built between 1940-1970. There are some homes that are newly built. The median prices are $790,000.
Majority of the people in this town are White with families. The city is quite family oriented and those who are well accomplished would best fit in a town like this. Singles would also fit in as well. The people are generally very friendly and warm. There aren't any gangs or drug dealers in the city, and you feel safe being around everyone in this town. I've always felt welcomed when being in Lacrescenta-Montrose.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
The shopping areas are very nice and offer many options of your choosing. There are different clothing, grocery, and restaurants to chose from when shopping. Some of the best restaurants are Oceanview Bar & Grill, Black Cow Cafe,Byblos Mediterranean Bakery, and Joselito's Mexican Restaurant. Most of the schools in this town are of a diverse community and can range from average quality to a better quality school such as Clark Magnet High School. The teachers are very knowledgeable and the schools have minimal crime rate. There are many parks, restaurants, and a few hookah lounges for singles.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
There are no airports nearby or unusual noise sources. However some of the homes are near the highway and may be bothered by the sound of the cars on the highway. The neighboring town would be Glendale,CA. Both cities are safe and a joy to live in. However, Lacrescenta-Montrose has more beautiful homes and apartments and the city is much easier on the eyes and beautiful as opposed to Glendale. Glendale is overly crowded and there are certain areas that are of lower class. One of the best hospitals in the city is the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. Some of the nicest places to visit in this town are the shopping centers and a beautiful place called Descanso Gardens.
General comments
This town makes me feel as though I'm at home. It has a warm and inviting feel to it and makes you want to work hard in order to buy a home in this town to live in. I love how it's not overly crowded and the main street has many shops and restaurants you can go to. There are many trees and beautiful homes to view when driving down here. You don't find any graffiti or trash laying around on the streets, the city is very clean.
