The average temperature in Mandeville is about 67 degrees. This is close to the same as the state average. In the summer it can get very humid and reach temperatures in the upper 90's and the lower 100's making it very hot. The winter is mostly mild. Occasionally there is a colder winter where temperatures can dip down into the teens. The annual precipitation is around 63 inches. The humidity averages around 74%.The crime rate is lower than the State average and also lower than the national average. As with most cities the seems that robberies and burglaries are the biggest problems. There are very few murders and the rape seems to be a small problem. Assaults and domestic violence is average. There are several sections of Mandeville that exists. There seems to be more gated communities in this area than normal. There are several subdivisions and houses are located close to one another. Some of the trouble places are located on the outer parts of town. It seems these places are less protected and out of the public eye. This is where some of the bad things such as drugs and crimes are located.A lot of people have recently moved into this area since Hurricane Katrina. This is a very diverse place when it comes to the people. You will get that good old southern welcome when you come to Mandeville. Everyone seems to greet you with a smile and always willing to give you that helping hand. This is a very friendly environment.

Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
With so many people being located in this area it sometimes seems very crowded. With this many people they do have to travel from one spot to the other. Traffic noise is really the only source of excessive noise. This town is a little larger than some of the other rural towns located nearby. This town is very populated and sometimes seems crowded. There are lots of places to shop and dine.ST. Tammany Regional Hospital
Lakeveiw Hospital
These are the most popular hospitals in the region.
The Fountainblue State Park is an excellent place to spend time. It is located on the banks of the Chefunte River. This is a great opportunity for camping and boating. Several local piers are located nearby to enjoy crabbing and fishing. You can also take a stroll on the banks of Lake Ponchatrain or take a bike ride on the local bike trails.
