WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
The winters here are cold and occasionally it will snow and sleet. Even though it snows here it does not remain on the ground the entire winter. The average daytime temperature during the day, during the winter is about 40 to 45 degrees. There are some winters that are mild and you can get away with wearing a thick sweater outside during the day but it is cold for the most part. The summers are hot and humid with an average daytime temperature of about 85 to 95 degrees. There are occasional evening thunderstorms here that produce lightning and heavy rain. The Spring and Fall are both very nice here and the trees in the town make it even more beautiful in
the Spring and Fall.
The crime in Marvin is relatively low. This town is full of gated community which provides a lot of safety to the residents in Marvin. It does however experience a few auto thefts, domestic assaults, and scammers running schemes. For the most part Marvin is a safe little town.It is very difficult to find a undesirable area in Marvin. It is the town of large mansion style homes and gated communities. Beautiful homes can be found around every corner of this town. Marvin is currently a large home developers dream. New communities are being built and the homes in these new communities will definitely be for the privileged. If there is an undesirable side of town it is on the west side near the South Carolina border where there is a lot of industrial businesses. Most of the people in Marvin are Caucasian with a few African Americans and even less Hispanics. You will spot an East Indian and Asian family here and there. This is a town of wealth and affluence. The people of Marvin are nice and cordial for the most part. The majority of the residents are doctors, lawyers, professional athletes, and some retired individuals. It is a town of majority Caucasian with a few African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, and East Indians. If you are looking for a beautiful home occupied by well to do individuals then you will fit right in here. Even though there are industrial businesses here, most of the residents are white collar workers or professional athletes.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
Marvin does not have a downtown area but there is a nice new shopping center being built on the corner of Providence Rd and Weddington Rd.There aren't a lot of restaurants in Marvin but it is in a great spot so good food is less than five minutes away. Ming Fu Sushi and Chinese is a hop over in Waxhaw, McAlister's Deli in a hop over in Charlotte, and 521 BBQ and Grill is a hop over in Fort Mill, SC.The schools in Marvin are really good schools and on a scale of 1 to 10 it is a 9. It is in a county that is currently going through a redistricting process and the parents of Marvin are not happy about the changes that may take place. The parents are happy with the schools their children attend in Marvin and they do not want it to change. This is a nice town for singles because it is minutes away from the large city of Charlotte.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
This is a quiet little town but there is a small airport a few miles away but it does not receive large plans. There are a lot of industrial businesses on the west end of Marvin and they receive large trucks that can be a little loud during the day but most of the businesses are apart from the communities.Marvin NC is a small affluent town with a lot of large homes it is not large like Charlotte, NC and it doesn't have a lot a restaurants like Charlotte.

Marvin NC is small and doesn't have as many career opportunities as Waxhaw, NC. Waxhaw also has more shopping grocery stores than Marvin.
The closet hospital for the residents of Marvin is Carolina's Medical Center of Waxhaw. It is part of a large healthcare system and has good doctors but most major illnesses and injuries are cared for in Charlotte. The nicest place to visit it the nice park on the campus of Marvin Elementary School, Hunter Farm is just down the road in Weddington, and any community clubhouse pool in this town just take your pick.
General comments
Marvin is the town of gated communities, pools, and large homes. The residents are nice and friendly but if you are not as privileged as the residents in Marvin you might feel out of place. The residents are busy going about their lives so do not get offended if you do not get a long conversation from a local when you bump into them at the market. Even though you may not get a long conversation you will get a smile.
