General comments | | | | | | |
The town does not have a distinct feel to it, it is a typical Nassau County suburb. Sunrise Highway and Merrick Roads are the centerpieces of the road, where most of the commerce is rooted. The Long Island Railroad completes the trinity of featured transportation amenities. Respectively there is also Merrick Avenue which connects the North to the South and towns beyond Merrick's limits. However, the town is rather vanilla. Split level ranches and tree lined side streets. | | | | | | |
