| Weather | | How much crime? | | What are the neighborhoods like? | | What are the people like? | | Oconomowoc is a special little town located outside of Millwaukee Wisconsin, and the weather is similar to Milwaukee, Wi. It is cold in the winter time, hot and humid during the summer. Rain is occasional, and thunderstorms more then occasional, but beautiful. | | Crime is not high here, but the police have a tendency to be competitive to the police in Chicago in the sense that they try to compete with busts, and pull over people with no reason, just suspision that comes from their own stereotypes and insecurities. I was pulled over as a passenger in a vehicle, and we committed no crime. We did nothing wrong, then once pulled over I gave them my name, and to their own fault they spelt my name wrong, and called in a patty wagon and back up. They asked me again, and this time I confirmed the spelling and they oppologized for the inconvience and let us go. We were just driving late. I was native american, he was black, and they were white. We did nothing wrong. It was all assumption and prejudice. | | The whole town is beautiful and good. The people are nice, and taught me to not say "Im sorry" so much. The store owners and employee's are sweet. The only thing you have to worry about are the police that compete with the Chicago Police Department, as if they can catch more criminals, as if they are in Oconomowoc and theyre not. These are great people in a beautiful classy area. | | Any store I have gone in is the same, smiling, friendly people. Both customers and employees. I love this town as long as I am not being considered an outcast because I am native american and know black people. | | Downtown Area | | Restaurants | | Schools | | Single life | | Downtown is awesome. Especially for the ladies, It has everything they could want and then some. Cute, peaceful, good smelling, and quaint. Any lady would love to visit here, and so would any man. The food is also amazing! | | My favorite is Rocky Rococoas @ 2010 Silvernail Rd
Pewaukee, WI 53072 Right outside Oconomowoc. Went there every friday's for pizza and chicken wings. The best in town, I love these guys. Staff is awesome, and if you look, you'll see my artwork & signature on the pole in their place. <3
| | The public schools are good, not as great as some, and way better then others. The kids here are educated and learn. Bless their hearts, they try harder to be approved of here then many places. I give these teachers a 20 out of 10. | | There are opportunities for singles here, just as anywhere. The men here are less "players" then in Chicago, but ladies still be ware. | | Noise | | town comparison vs. | | Best hospital | | Tourist attractions | | NONE!~ This is a higher class area, close to the highway, you get to hear fireworks, or laughter no where near homes. You get to know the neighbors, and they all have each other in mind. I love this place. | | This town like many around it, Waukesha, The Dells, Appleton, this is the best one of them. More family oriented and personable. I love this town. | | There isnt one here I would visit. Anyone would go out of town to receive proper and adequate treatment. | | I absolutely love Lac La Belle lake. It is so much fun in the summer. Or Knollward which is a mansion. A super beautiful and surreal place. | | General comments | | | | | | | | This is yet another town that feels like home. I love the area, the people, the stores, the outdoors. I just dont like being seen as a potential criminal because I know black people. | | | | | | |
