Tiffani reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
Year around it's beautiful weather. During the fall and winter months the weather reaches low 80s, high 70s. The temperature drops late in the night to mid 60s hence Panama is surrounded by numerous beaches that brings in cold fronts. The summers are hot and sunny. It's not much humidity. There Is slight rain in the spring months but not abnormal fallings.Crime is low in Panama, as it appears to be a slow pace city. Most crime related incidents are white collar crimes.Near Tyndall Parkway/Callaway a heavy trafficked location, there are several single family homes. Also in this location are several shops to eat. The neighborhoods around are mix of asians, blacks, and caucasians. The most beautiful and prestigious houses are in Santa Rose which is a beautiful beach front community. Many celebrities have vacation homes in this locatiom. The people are very courteous and generous here. Customer Service at many locations is great as well. There are Asians-big Thai community, blacks, and Caucasians. Mostly there's many caucasians.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
The downtown area is bland.Captain Morgan's-one of the beast seafood places I. FL. Celebrities frequent here.
Margarittaville
Many
The public schools are effective as many of the teachers are seasoned and adaptable to present day's changes.I don't think this is a big place for singles as it appeared a couple/retiree city. Maybe during Spring season when college kids frequent the city it's better.
Noisetown comparison vs.Tourist attractionsGeneral comments
PC is an military base city. Occasionally you may here usual noises if living near Tyndall Parkway.St. Destin is near-very rich city.
Pensacola-similar to PC.
Tallahassee-similar, not many beaches
If you go on Front Beach road, there are countless thins to do. Go kart riding/beaches/time share tours/Ripley's Believe It or Not/ wall climbing/shopping/, much to do'It is a peaceful and sunny city. It feels good being there. The advantage is being able to get out to the beaches.
