Maggie reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
The weather in this town is generally hot in the summer and spring months and cold in the winter. During the warmer months the weather averages at about 91 degrees and 47 degrees in the colder months. Winds occur throughout the year mainly in the spring and winter. There is some heavy rain and flooding that occur in the winter. There are no hurricanes, tornados or snow in this town. The crime in Pasadena is considerably higher than other nearby cities. It's generally not that safe of a city to live in. Most of the crimes I've heard of occurring are thefts, burglaries and assault. The best parts of Pasadena to live in are by Linda Vista, E.Elizabeth St near Providence Christian College, New York Dr/N Allen Ave, and Loma Vista St. Some of the worst parts of town are Rosemont Ave, E.Walnut St, N Hill Ave, Lincoln Ave and W Washington Blvd. The median prices of the homes in the lower quality parts of town are $476,00-$600,000, with the average rental price being $1,796. Most of the people are Asian and Hispanic. In the better parts of town homes average at about $680,000. Most of the people living in the better parts of town are Armenian and Iranian.Depending on which part of town you visit the people here are very outgoing and friendly. There is plenty of diversity in race as well as many educated students, business executives as well as homeless people in the lower parts of town. You get a creative vibe from the people living here. Many of the people are religious here as well. Young, Single, and Educated people would best fit in a town like this. Those with no income or education would not fit in here only because most of the homes and rental property are for the middle to high income.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
The downtown shopping centers here are one of the best. There are a variety of shops and restaurants to chose from. Downtown Pasadena is filled with shopping centers, car dealerships, bars, restaurants, and bookstores. The best restaurants are the Raymond restaurant, Bistro 45, Houston's, La Grande Orange Cafe, Mi Piace, Yard House and Cheesecake Factory. There are many private schools in this town and the quality of the schools are average. Some of the schools test better than others due to the type of students enrolled. The quality of education received in this town is very good, however the crime rate with students is ranked high. There are plenty of opportunities for singles here. Old town Pasadena offers many bars, restaurants, museums and a great night life for singles to meet.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
There are no nearby airports and most of the highways are away from the neighborhood. The city itself is generally quite, however some of the main streets are near homes which may cause unusual loud noises from the cars.Compared to its neighboring town of Glendale, the town of Pasadena is more historical and lively. In regards to safety, Glendale is the best choice of town to live in and offers better quality of schools. Glendale is a tight kight community with less crime rates compared to Pasadena. I'd preferably chose to live in Glendale only because it feels safer to me than Pasadena. The local hospital is Huntington Memorial Hospital. This hospital has one of the best and professional doctors. The staff are very helpful and the food for the patients are good. Some of the nicest places to visit in this town are Old Town Pasadena, El Paseo, Pasadena Convention Center, Rose Bowl, and the Norton Simon Museum.
General comments
The town of Pasadena is very lively and has a warm feel to it. This city is filled with life, especially in downtown Pasadena where all the trendy, upscale shops and restaurants are located. There are many ancient trees in the south part of town with historical libraries. There is so much uniqueness and history to this city.
As far as safety is concerned this town doesn't generally feel safe to me. There are certain parts of the town that are crime ridden.
