Weather is hot and humid in the summer with highs in July and August in the 90's. Winters are mild with a little snow. Pine Bluff gets about 52 inches of rain a year.Pine Bluff is a high crime city. It has been rated the second most dangerous city in the USA. Most crime is gang and drug related. There were 18 murders in 2012.Pine Bluff is mostly black. The east side of town is the most crime filled. The best areas to live are the suburbs on the south side of Pine Bluff, such as Watson Chapel.The people are not very friendly. Pine Bluff is mostly black. The high crime affects people.

Downtown Pine Bluff is in decline. There are many boarded up and closed stores. Pines Mall is a good Place to shop.Colonial Steakhouse and Gino's Pizzeria are two good restaurants.The Pine Bluff schools are not good.There are clubs and activities for singles. Little Rock is nearby which provides more opportunity.

The nearest big town is Little Rock which is much better than Pine Bluff. Small towns such as Rison are much better.The Arkansas Railroad Museum ia a good place to visit. Pine bluff is a railroad center. The Pine Bluff Symphony is good. Lake saracen offers fishing and boating.Pine Bluff looks bad. There are many vacant buildings and many rundown buildings. The high crime rate and appearance makes a bad impression.

The summers are dry and much humidity. Though many summer nights there is a slight breeze from the surrounding lakes, bayous in the city. The winters are cold and frequent ice storms. There is more snow spotting up north than the southern cities. The city sits in the valley so it's on a flat surface. There are frequent Tornado warnings during the spring season.For the city to be small in population, it exceeds a high crime rate which extensive compared to surrounding cities and other smaller states. The crimes are mostly weapon and assault related within the male age range of 16 years of age to 40+. This can be due to the lack of educational programs or advancements the city has to offer.Northside- okay part of town. near the University of Pine Bluff Arkansas. This area is fair, though many of the houses in the neighborhood are old and outdated. Several families in poverty surrounds this area. There are nearby parks such as Martin Luther King Park, Townsend Park, and Boys and Girls Club. Dollarway School District.
Westside- okay part of town. There are many single family homes in this area. They are mostly of Black decent. Further Westside is a richer area of beautiful houses and land. Pine Bluff High School District
Eastside- nice area. Beautiful houses.
The people in Pine Bluff can be closed minded and not open to change. There is complacency in the city. Many people do not migrate away from the city. There is majority blacks in the city. There is a small Asian, Middle Eastern, and Latin mix.

Downtown shopping isn't so great. There are many boarded up buildings downtown which is unfortunate because it is right by the water.Richie's has the best burgers in town! This burger place is right in front of the water downtown.
Ocean's has the best chicken.
Arnold's has the best seafood in town.
Watson Chapel is a good public school. Dollarway and Pine Bluff School District you may want to do further research.Even though it is a college town, there is not a good opportunity for singles for the town is small and it's easy to run into the same people often.

If you're near the Northside, you will hear frequent train stops.England, Terry, Grady, Rison are nearby cities that are smaller. Pine Bluff is the 2nd largest city. There are more stores, events, and activities offered than its neighboring cities.JRMC-Jefferson Regional Medical Center is the town's only hospital.Regional Park, museums, Laser Tag, Pine's Mall, Port, Pine Bluff Convention Center.
General comments   
The towns feel like a ghost town and has a funny smell as you enter the city due to the paper mill. There are many mom and pop businesses that have kept the city afloat. Overall, it is a nice city if you're looking for a slow pace and urban lifestyle.
