The weather in Rancho Cucamonga is mild most of the year. Winters range from 30's to 60's with moderate rain fall. The springs are mild and the summers are hot - temperatures ranging in the 50's to 100's. There has been an occasion when it has snowed but it doesn't stick around for very long. | | Rancho Cucamonga has a very active crime prevention unit as well as Crime Stoppers. These groups work with the public to keep crime low. Burglary, DUI and stolen property are the most common crimes. RC likes to call itself one of the safest cities to live in in the Inland Empire | | RC has many new neighborhoods built in the last 5 - 10 years occupied by higher income Caucasian families. There are a few older neighborhoods for lower income families-primarily Hispanic and African American. | | The city is fairly large, approximately 150,000 residents, so there is little very personal-small town folks. But when shopping or needing help, there is someone that will step up. 60% of the residents are Caucasian and the rest is a mix of Hispanic, Black, Native American and Asian. |

There is something for everyone when it comes to shopping in RC. Victoria Gardens open air mall has every store imaginable. Including Bass Pro Shop - that is every sportsman dream store. | | The malls house some of the best restaurants in town. Lucille's Bar BQ is one of the best, food and service is outstanding. Flemings has the best steak and you can never go wrong with California Pizza Kitchen | | The public schools are rated very high for California, some having been named best in California. Some have been awarded the Distinguished School Award. There are several charter schools and colleges. | | Rancho Cucamonga is primarily a sleepy family town. Although they do have several colleges, singles would have a better time in a smaller 'college town'. |

Ontario International Airport is only 20 minutes south so it does contribute some airplane noise. | | The closest city in comparison to RC is Upland and Ontario. They both border RC and have very similar livelihoods, shopping, schools and homes. Although they do have more of a historic background than Rancho Cucamonga. | | Loma Linda Hospital in San Bernardino - 30 minutes away is the best hospital in the Inland Empire. RC does have a small community hospital. | | There are lots of nice places to visit including the mall where you can stroll the streets while window shopping, eat at one of the great restaurants, people watch and let the kids ride the outdoor large scale train. |
