Are you thinking of moving or relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona? Would you like to know what the quality of life is like living in Scottsdale?

Weather | | How much crime? | | What are the neighborhoods like? | | What are the people like? | Scottsdale is located in an arid area, thus it experiences a mixed weather of hot summers and mild winters. Temperatures can get to as high as 110 degrees Fahrenheit on June, and the coldest month being February getting to as low as 19 degrees Fahrenheit. | | Personally I have experienced some robbery on the streets I have also seen some guys getting mugged up-close. Though I have been fortunate not to experience the hard-core stuff, but I have heard of burglary cases and mostly a series of theft cases. Rape cases are common too, and sadly enough I have heard of a few murder cases. | | Best part
Arcadia: A very impressive area in Scottsdale, quite modern in type of houses setup here, though very expensive. The white are the majority of residents and includes a few Hispanics. It's crime rate is quite low.
Worst part
South Phoenix: One of the worst neighborhoods of Scottsdale. The area is a ground zero for drug violence and street gangs. The Caucasian cover almost half of the population of this area, with the black American coming second about a quarter of the population. The houses are modern, middle and high class types. | | The majority of people in Scottsdale are White people comprising about 80%. The Black Americans are quite few almost 2% of the population. The Hispanic comprises 10% of the overall population. A higher percentage of the working populations are in white collar jobs and the rest have blue collar jobs, quite a few percentages are not employed. The young and single can fit in quite well. If you are well educated then you will most definitely love Scottsdale as it has lots of opportunity yet to be explored. | Downtown Area | | Restaurants | | Schools | | Single life | The town has a lot of high-end corporate retail outlets. While in the North Scottsdale you will come across the Upscale Kierland Commons. And in downtown you will find the massive Scottsdale Fashion Square, one of the most popular and profitable malls in whole of Arizona.
| | For best restaurants you will find plenty, personally I know you will love:
Zinc Bistro: if you the type that fancy French-American fused dishes you will definitely enjoy your meals at Zinc Bistro. Menu includes traditional specialties like onion soup. Definitely it is among the best restaurants in the area sure is my favorite.
Cartwright's: Now the seafood lovers you will love Cartwright's Sonuran Ranch House. Menu also includes buffalo meat loaf. | | The public schools in Scottsdale is of good quality, Scottsdale Unified School District provide the public education and apparently serves not only Scottsdale but also most parts of Paradise Valley and East Phoenix. The residents trust on the quality of education being provided | | For singles I would say you should try your luck. The majority of guys here are either married or divorced, but there are also quite a few singles residing in Scottsdale. If it gets any worse you can't miss opportunities on dating sites.
| Noise | | town comparison vs. | | Best hospital | | Tourist attractions | Scottsdale Municipal Airport is located in the northern part of the town, so while in this sides of the town you can expect noise of rumbling engine of planes though not very busy as the economical airport is in Phoenix. You can also expect noise from hooting vehicles on the highway.
| | Paradise Valley in Phoenix area, this place is very excellent in terms of housing facilities compared to Scottsdale. But in terms of security I definitely prefer Scottsdale more. In Phoenix Housing is quite expensive compared to Scottsdale, generally Scottsdale is recommended.
To the south of Scottsdale is Tempe area. Scottsdale has better housing and is livable compared to Tempe area.
| | Scottsdale Healthcare: this is one the highest ranked medical institution in the whole of Scottsdale area. They offer quality of services you can always trust they will do some recommendable job.
| | In Scottsdale you can't miss some nice places to visit. With more than 100 art galleries surely you can't get bored here. In downtown area you will find the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. You can watch some performed art at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. For a visit you could go to Taliesin west, the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright's home and school. | General comments | | | | | | | The town feels like it's a modern town, the residents are ok with change. Though there are a few criminal activities in the area it just shows the police need to do more than they are doing. Scottsdale seems like the safest place in comparison to other States. Generally I would say with the embrace to technology it has lots of potential to achieve greater heights. it is a recommended area for the young entrepreneurs
