Weather | | How much crime? | | What are the neighborhoods like? | | What are the people like? |
It's in a colder climate because it's up a mountain in the mountain range; but it's pretty far south into New York so it's not that bad during the winters. It snows quite a bit but it's usually beautiful because the main town area is decorated in the winters and it really looks nice.
The summers are mild to warm but never too hot. They can get humid because of the rain but it's never anything awful because there is usually a nice breeze going through the town. | | There are occasional bad eggs who will cause ruckuses or be publically intoxicated from the pub, but there isn't much crime in this town. I'm sure on occasion people will steal from the food market but that's to be expected.. Especially in younger teens. There is no real crime though, and definitely no reason to feel afraid at night. | | The best parts of town are all the parts of town. The main center of town with the cafe's and the cute walkways and the parts of town with the restaurants and the clothing stores. The only bad section is over by the Burger King seems kinda sketchy but I doubt it actually is. There really doesn't seem to be a huge issue with any part of the the town as all the parts seem to be kind.
The homes there are gorgeous. Usually they're on the side streets from the main area of the city and they are absolutely old-school victorian and beautifully decorated since most of the people in the town seem to be rich. | | The people are mostly very friendly no matter where you go. I am under the belief that the only people who wouldn't "fit in" in this town are people who would hate the fact that everyone fits in. Bigots are not welcome here. This is a town where everyone is seemingly welcome and that's a beautiful thing that is rarely seen in small towns anymore.
On occasion I'm sure there are the occasional people who will be rude or small-minded about a situation, but even they cannot ruin the beauty that is the town of Warwick as a whole. |
Downtown Area | | Restaurants | | Schools | | Single life |
The downtown area is great! There are cheap, awesome antique stores and some really quaint, amazing coffee-houses/cafe's. There's even an out-door ice-cream place that is delicious when it's open! It's an old-time town mixed with new-age people and it's a really great place to be and to shop! | | Besides the cafe's that serve food with the best of them, there are some really delicious places to eat. Not to name any one because they're all absolutely delicious. It's definitely worth going to Warwick several times to try the food everywhere! Usually if I go one place to get a latte I'll go somewhere else to eat! | | The school system is pretty decent! Warwick is a more wealthy town so any of the kids that live there will be more artsy and have more opportunity to go into an art-related field.
It's a really good school district academically too. | | Actually yes. I usually say no or that I don't know, but what with the cafe's and the park in the middle of town and just the ability of the town to be exactly what anyone needs at any time, Warwick is a great place if you're looking to have a cute day-date with someone. Or to just start talking to someone inside a caf'! |
Noise | | town comparison vs. | | Best hospital | | Tourist attractions |
I swear on several occasions I've heard the sounds of a train but in all my times being in the town I have learned that there really isn't a train going through the tracks in the middle of town, even though there are tracks. It's a calming sound because I've always lived in a train town, but it's spooky because there isn't a train there at all. | | Warwick in comparison to Middletown, NY, Warwick is much better. The reason behind this is because the crime rate is significantly less than Middletown, and even though Middletown is larger there is more to do in Warwick! Warwick also just has the vibe of being a great place to be!
Warwick in comparison to Pine Island, NY; Warwick is better. Pine Island is beautiful and has really nice little shops but it is a TINY town and a lot of gorgeous farm-land. There is no place for the community to get together and celebrate as a town and I always find this to be an issue with spread out towns like it. | | Over in Middletown some miles away is the Orange Regional Medical Center which is basically the "main branch" where Bon Secours Community Hospital came from originally in Port Jervis. It's a brand new hospital just a few years old and gorgeous and it's said to be a very good hospital. | | If you're a man and you're looking for fashionable clothes then check out the stores in this town because there are many times I've emptied my wallet on beautiful clothing from the stores. The cafe's are very good. They're really wonderful and delicious and the staff at all of them are super friendly! |

This town feels like.. It's indescribable really. I love this town. I love being in this town and everything that this town stands for. I love mostly all the people and I do love all the shops. The food is delicious and there's even a food store in the town if you don't want to go out. This place really has most things one would need to survive. I'd raise my non-existent kids in a town like this.
I can walk down the street wearing whatever I want and no on will judge because it's not in their nature to. You can walk the train tracks and no one will yell at you because it doesn't matter because the train doesn't run. | | | | | | |
