Life in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Waukesha Reviews Wisconsin Message Board
City/State
Are you thinking of moving or relocating to Waukesha, Wisconsin? Would you like to know what the quality of life is like living in Waukesha?
Stephanie Pedersen reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
Waukesha weather is pretty normal for wisconsin, thunderstorms are common especially in summer, and winters are cold. There is little concern for tornadoes or floods. Hot summers with humidity, and very cold winters like Chicago. The crime rate is low in comparison to Chicago being a smaller town and more populated with police and upper class citizens. The biggest crimes are that of theft. The good neighborhoods are the same as the bad. Surprisingly there is really no difference between the two. either you live there and your decent, or your not.The people there are wonderful. Neighbors, stores, employee's, this is yet another family atmosphere town. They greet you with a smile, and are friendly.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
Downtown to be honest is nothing super amazing. It is what it is. A town, with a bunch of stores. However, the owners and employees are nice as if it were a small town. Making all the difference then being in a huge city.Id have to say that Gasthaus restraunt at
2720 N Grandview Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188 is the best place to eat, if you can afford it. An amazing German place to eat. Second I would recommend Cafe De Arts Roastery at
136 E Saint Paul Ave in
Waukesha, WI 53188
Can't go wrong!~
The public schools are good. Not as personable as they could be but they are good. Students dont get as much 1 on 1 as they deserve, but they are attended to. If I had an ultimate choice in where my children went to public school from 1 to 10, ten being the worst, I would rate this place as a 6Waukesha is yet another place for players stemming from the effects of Chicago. If you want a long lasting relationship, your best bet is to search the super small towns located around the United States, where men are real men and ladies are real ladies.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
There are no unusual noise issues except those that come from the Government location that tests extremely low frequencies on you and animals in the area while they are blowing up things in the middle of the night to build and police refuse to acknowledge your calls as serious. This is one of the better towns in the area. Just south in Illinois is Waukegan where the crime rate is high, this town is more mellow. Above this town more south you see bigger towns, and bigger opportunities for crime. Thats just the way it goes. The best Hospital in Waukesha is Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
They take care of their clients and treat them as people instead of clients.
I love the bike and hiking trails off silvernail Rd. There are nice hotels around but those are useless when you live there. The mall off silvernail rd is nice and so are the people. But my advice, if your in Waukesha, find a trail and go for a walk.
General comments
This is another family felt town. Besides the police. I am not a criminal and have never been in jail, but I do know they compete with the police of Chicago on getting anyone for anything.
