Latia Black reports in this review:
WeatherHow much crime? What are the neighborhoods like? What are the people like?
The winters in Wesley Chapel are cold and occasionally there is some snow and/or sleet. When it snows here it is one of the most beautiful places to see. The rural farmlands and ranches become covered in snow and it is lovely.
The summers here are hot and humid. During the day the temp can reach 90 to 95 degrees. If you was to get a break from the sun you will be able to rest under one of the many trees in Wesley Chapel. The springs are mild but it can be hard for allergy sufferers due to all of the grasslands and trees. The falls are beautiful with all of the foliage the tree go through. It is beautiful in the fall.
The crime in Wesley Chapel is relatively low. It is a small, rural suburb and most of the residents are of affluent families. The is an occasional report of theft and larceny. The residents in Wesley Chapel feel safe when they are out in there community and they have a community watch that assures this level of safety. The worst side of town is around the area of New Town Rd and Waxhaw Indian Trail Rd near a cow farm. A little down the road is a horse farm and although the sight of the cows and horses is nice to see, the smell that comes from these areas aren't so nice. In the summer when the air is hot and humid, the smell from the farms can be really strong and unpleasant. Majority of the neighborhoods in Wesley Chapel are new with newly built homes. The homes here are large and offer about an ache to an half ache to each home. The people in Wesley Chapel are usually nice and friendly. There are a few individuals that are "too busy" to stop and say Hello or chat. The town is predominately Caucasian with a few African American, Hispanic, and East Indian. There is a good mix of blue and white collar workers. If you are looking for a families friendly town, this is a great town for you. This is also a great area for retired individuals.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
The isn't a downtown area in Wesley Chapel but it has a couple great shopping centers with good food and shops to offer.Hickory Tavern, Chik Fil Let, and TCBY are the busiest restaurants in Wesley ChapelThe schools are really good in Wesley Chapel but it is part of a county that is going through a huge redistricting scandal. The residents and county leaders are in ongoing battle to stop vs continue the redistricting. If you are a single in this town you may have a hard time meeting someone because this is a town full of families.
Noisetown comparison vs.Best hospitalTourist attractions
Highway 81 runs through Wesley Chapel and occasionally there is a loud group of motorcyclist taking in the stretch of raid and they can be loud.Wesley Chapel is smaller the Monroe NC. It has more open farmland and ranches. Wesley Chapel doesn't have as many restaurants and shopping as Monroe but it is a great place to raise a family. The schools in Wesley Chapel are better than the schools in Monroe even though they are in the same school district.
Wesley Chapel as more restaurants than Weddington, NC. If you are looking for a great place to take your family for a good sit down meal, Wesley Chapel will be you
best bet. Wesley Chapel also has a large department store and Weddington doesn't have any large department stores.
There isn't a hospital in Wesley Chapel but CMC-Monroe is really close as well as CMC-Waxhaw.The nicest place to visit is the horse ranch off Waxhaw Indian Trail Rd. It has obstacles courses and beautiful horses.
General comments
This is a small town. It is like a busy little suburb surrounded by beautiful farms and ranches. Because most of the residents work outside of Wesley Chapel, when they are in Wesley Chapel, they consider themselves "at home." They are relaxed, laid back, and easygoing. During the day you will find busy housewives running errands and taking in a much needed cup of coffee.
