WeatherSafetyNeighborhoodsPeople
Agoura Hills is generally very warm in the summer months and pretty cold in the winter. The average temperature in the summer is 98 degrees and the lowest is as low as 30 degrees. The warmer months are in July and August, and the cooler months are in December through February. Winter consists of heavy rain, flooding and certain parts of the town are prone to mud slides. Luckily, there are no tornado's or hurricanes in this part of town.Agoura Hills is one of the safest towns and the only crime I've heard of happening are thefts. Some incidents of shoplifting have occurred through the years. One incident I heard of is when theft occurred at my relatives shop a few years ago. Some of the best parts of town are by Dovetail Dr, Lake Lindero Dr, and the city center. The parts of town that aren't as good are Agoura and Seminole Hot Springs. The median home prices in Dovetail Dr and Lake Lindero Dr are $881,000 and the average rental price is $2,389. The area is suburban with many upper class white and European people. The homes are large with 4 or more bedrooms and generally established but not old. The homes in the lower quality parts of town in Agoura Hills are $669,000 made up of small to medium apartment complexes. The races are generally Arab and White. The people in this town are quite friendly and very wealthy. The people are all driving luxury cars and are business minded. Educated, Older, White people would best fit in a town like this. This town is very family friendly and those with families and good businesses would enjoy living here. Those with no education or income with not fit in here only because the homes in this town are quite expensive.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
The shopping centers are nice and offer many options of stores to choose from. Agoura Hills City mall is one of the few nice shopping centers to visit. The best restaurants are Old Place restaurant, Leila's, Cafe 14, and Italia Deli and Bakery. The schools are of high quality with many private schools as well as good quality public schools. The teachers and district are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Students are definitely ensured to receive excellent education. There aren't much opportunities for singles in this town as far as clubs or lounges. However there are many restaurants, cigar shops, and shopping centers for singles.
NoiseCompared to other placesBest hospitalTourist attractions
There aren't any airports nearby and the highways aren't as close to the homes to cause any unusual noises.Compared to its neighboring town of Thousand Oaks, Agoura Hills is more socioeconomically diverse with larger High Schools and is a smaller tight knight community. Thousand Oaks has much more to do in regards to shopping centers, libraries, and restaurants. I would preferably choose to live in Thousand Oaks only because the city is larger with more options. The best local hospital is Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center. The staff is very responsive and professional with many highly qualified doctors. You will be in good hands and taken care of at this hospital. Some of the nicest places to visit in this town are the Lindero Country club, Malibu Riders Inc, and the North Ranch Mall Shopping center.
