Danville has beautiful weather. Summers are warm, generally low to mid 80s and sunny! Winters are cool and wet. Frost is common in the early mornings.
Spring is absolutely amazing. Mid 70s and light breezes. And fall is perfect. Crisp air, low 60s, and somewhat wet. | | Danville is known as a very safe small town. There are a lot of upper class people though, and from that you get a lot of drugs, alcohol abuse, and DUI type of crime. There are also burglaries and thefts. My car was broken into for what someone thought was a purse. | | As you get farther back in towards the hills the areas get nicer. The neighborhoods are picture perfect. Large homes, tree lined streets. Many of these homes also have gates. Blackhawk is a very well now ritzy part of Danville. The bowling alley off of Danville Blvd. is the entry point into a seedy neighborhood that is known for drunk in public and lower income inhabitants.
The older homes and apartments off of Diablo Road are also somewhat more run down, mostly inhabited by white folks who enjoy the thought of living in the upper crust of Danville, but who can;t quite afford it. | | Danville is for yuppies, and want to be yuppies. People who enjoy driving their BMWs down Main Street USA, lunching under umbrellas, and playing golf on the weekend will enjoy it. Ladies who enjoy shopping at boutiques will also enjoy the downtown area. People who prefer to get a bargain at Walmart and have money left over after rent will not find this city enjoyable.
Danville is for staunchy old upper class white people. Single people will be bored out of their mind, and then turn to the drugs, since they will have the money. |

| The downtown area in Danville is beautiful. It's clean with a very warm small town feel. It is home to an amazing assortment of local eateries, and nothing but small mom and pop shops and boutiques. Be prepared to spend a little more than you would elsewhere though, due to the uniqueness, as well as the fact that you;re in Danville. | | Domenico's Deli is an amazing spot for a legitimate deli. The rolls are delicious, and the meat is fresh! They also have a great variety of Italian market products, ranging from wines and spreads.
If you're in the market for sushi, Koji's is your spot! It's small and owned by a husband and wife who take a lot of pride in both their service and quality. | | Pubic schools in Danville are ranked among the best in the state. California High is renowned for its academics. All of the school's sports teams are also enviable.
The public schools maintain good teacher student ratios, and the parents are often involved in the classes, as many of the mos have the luxury of staying at home. | | The extent of opportunities for singles in Danville and the surrounding cities is limited to bar, and there are a lot of those. Downtown Danville has lots of local watering holes. However, be careful, because Danville police are known for hanging out there as well, in order to pick you up for a DUI. |

| Children playing and cheers from the local parks are the loudest things you will hear. Every weekend thee is a soccer game or picnic at the fields and parks throughout time. The 680 freeway does run through town, so the few homes who border that are unlucky, but for the most part, the city planners did a good job in keeping the loud noises apart from neighborhoods. | | Danville is bordered by Alamo and San Ramon. Both are still upper class white towns. The cost of living is somewhat less in San Ramon, which is more commercial and loses some of the small town charm you get in both Danville and Alamo. San Ramon has more mainstream and big box stores, while Alamo and Danville have more quaint downtown areas with smaller mom and pop shops.
All three towns enjoy the Iron Horse Train running through them, which is a great trail for running, walking, and biking. | | Kaiser Walnut Creek and John Muir Hospital are in Walnut Creek, 5 minutes away, and both are state of the art. John Muir recently underwent a complete renovation and is town for it's cutting edge technology, service, and high caliber health care providers. | | The Iron Horse Train is a great part of Danville. It's tree lined and runs through the whole town. I'd also be sure to stop in to ne of the local eateries on Danville Blvd. to enjoy a meal outside in one of the many shaded patios. The weekend farmer's market is a gem too! Local fruits, veggies, and meats, as well as delicious snacks and condiments you won't find elsewhere! |

| Danville feels like the perfect epitome of an All-American small town. It feels like a place for kids to grow up eating ice cream cones on porch swings. It feels like home and mom's apple pie. Danville is small and charming. You feel safe. It has small town appeal. Danville feels like it belongs in a movie. But you also know that you are in an area that has wealth. From the pristine homes to the perfectly manicured housewives, no detail is left undone. | | | | | | |
