WeatherSafetyNeighborhoodsPeople
In the summer it is about 75 - 90 degrees during, and winter is is usually around 28-38 degrees. Winter and fall are ok I guess. There are no hurricanes here and very very rarely do you ever hear of Detroit having a tornado. I don't really care for the spring or fall because I have been to much prettier places then this during this time of the year. Here? Crime? All the time. You hear it on the news or from the neighbours or people at the store. It has been an on going battle. The main crimes here are assaults and people who break into other peoples homes and or destroy and steal their things.Best parts of town are Woodbridge, Downtown or Midtown, but my favorite place as far as safety goes would be The Fourth Street neighborhood, at the northeast corner of Lodge Freeway/Ford Freeway. The worst parts of town? A place called the Cass Corridor which runs parallel to Woodward on the west is a place i would avoid as well as after 8 Mile or so that's not so great, Like 6 Mile, 7 Mile, Davidson/Woodward. The same goes for Gratiot.7 Mile and below. There are all types of people that live in Detroit when it comes to race. The people here you can tell that the majority of them have had a hard time in life. The majority are whites and blacks that live here. Its like you can see it in their eyes. Since the new president took over everything has seemed to go down hill, especially for the people of Detroit. Im sure they would be more up for smiling more often if they didnt have to struggle so hard.

The down town area is pretty nice. There are a lot of shops and if there are any events going on, the place is highly secured with security and police for everyone's safety. There are a lot of restaurants, you can take a nice walk on the water front before or after dinner. They have all different things to shop for, do and see!Russell Street Deli is one of your real "farm to table" places that makes some great sandwiches. I love Sala Thai and anyone would who loves Thai food. The Oxford if you love great barbecued food, and my absolute favourite is Sinbads. They have great burgers and they are located right on the water next to the boats and docks. Its beautiful.Oh boy, the schools seem to need a re-haul or re-due. Too many of them are not so good at all. They have incidents often, and in too many where teachers are too afraid to reprimand or correct a student for acting out, only making the situation of the schools become worse and worse. The public schools have a way better structure for how they do things and this seems to help a great deal.Yes, there are a lot of them. Especially if you live down town or are there quite a bit.Personally Detroit is not a place I would ever go to "find" a perfect mate if I were looking for one. But to each his own.
NoiseCompared to other placesBest hospitalTourist attractions
I have lived in quieter places. Down town is pretty noisy a lot of the time. There are a lot of younger people that live there that like to hang out after classes at the college and tend to hang out late. The further you go out of down town, the quieter it gets. There is Windsor Canada not far at all, and that's a whole different Country full of endless possibilities and free health care. Then Hamtramck, Mi which is about just as far but a lot less to do then even Detroit. There is also River Rouge that has even less to do. You can have a great time if you love the outdoors and going for hikes, or you love roosters. Because they do.Detroit Medical Center Hospitals are the best because they cover just about every single problem a person could have and there for you can trust that they know how to treat you as a person and a patient.the Dossin Museum, the MGM Grand Detroit Casino, Belle Island, Campus Martius Park, and GM World are just a few places to visit. There are thousands for all different types of interests. It just depends on which are yours!
General comments
The town feels like its out of a movie of some place that survived the end of the world some how and is debating on weather or not to rebuild and start over, or just vacate all together. Im really not very impressed with Detroit. It's to ran down, dirty, and dry.
