The weather in this city still remains mostly hot in the summer months of June until August.

The rest of the year usually experiences ideal temperatures which enable residents to maintain their hiking expeditions, golf as well as other outdoor recreations that they have in mind.
While in the recent years there has been no high profile crime cases reported in this city, in the recent years due to the increase in the number of people migrating there has been a noticeable increase in the number of sex offenders in the city.

However, tourists and would be residents need not worry because the number of registered sex offenders in this city is still lower when compared to other major cities in the country.

The number of sex offenders living in Arizona is still lower than the state average.
One of the best places to live is Ashland Ranch and Val Vista. A bad neigborhood to live is the area around Williams Field Road.As expected of any progressing city a number of race and nationality is already present in the area. There is still a high percentage of Whites living in the city but there is an increasing growth in the number of Hispanics or Latinos in the area as well as Black Americans, Native Americans as well as Asians and people from Pacific Islander. Newcomers applaud the friendly atmosphere.

It has almost everything a resident can ask for in a city, on a regular day a single person can find themselves having so many options for great shopping and dining.A typical resident will usually be seen hanging out in restaurants that offer wood-fired pizza, salads or roasted green bean salad while ordering a beer or wine to accompany the meal.
The city was able to maintain a good high school graduation rate; in fact it is so impressive the town is able to exceed 90% when it comes to high school passing rate.

Some of the best performing schools will include the Chandler-Gilber community college, Northern Arizona University East Valley campus, the AT Still University including that of the Arizona State's Polytechnic campus.
Compared with other cities in the area like Chandler and Mesa, Gilbert is a city where there is more to do.
Tourist attractionsGeneral comments
One of the best places to go to is the Arizona premier outdoor SanTan Village; it is where nature and technology combines their benefits. The best thing about Gilbert, Arizona is the fact that it is a big city with big city benefits but at the same time the residents are able to maintain the small town feel. You can still feel the community working together and there is still a chance of knowing neighbours.
