Are you thinking of moving or relocating to Mesa, Arizona? Would you like to know what the quality of life is like living in Mesa?
WeatherSafetyNeighborhoodsPeople
Mesa has a predominantly hot and dry weather. Generally, summers are very hot and sultry with temperatures soaring to a high of 107 'F while winters are mildly cold with temperatures dropping to a low of 0 'F (−18 'C
The crime rate in Hispanic neighborhoods of Mesa is high and the worst often involve violence towards children. Border-crossing immigrants are almost everywhere and for the most part, keep the town's sheriff busy.Gilbert District and Peoria are decent and safer places to live and so is the South East Mesa area. I wouldn't advise you to venture north of Baseline road or to the East of Signal Butteand. Broadway, University, and Dobson have some of the worst neighborhoods; rundown and insecure. As for homes, there is a mixture of homes, but certainly not the best options. Don't set your bar too high, you'll be sourly disappointed.
Mesa is a predominantly Whites' City. Whites average 77% of the population while Hispanics and Blacks constitute 26% and 5%respectively. There are also pockets of Native Americans(2.4%) and minority Asians who account for 1.9% of the population. Communities revolve around Faith and Ethnic backgrounds. It's not advisable to venture into a territory where you'll feel alienated.
Mesa isn't a great place to raise a young family or for allergic folks, the heat is cruel. You won't thrive if here if you are a party beast. Mesa doesn't have active party scenes or the best recreation facilities. The laid back, and slow-paced City is a good place for folks who love summers and bright skies.

The shopping area in Mesa is pretty decent, though not great compared to Scottsdale. Shopping malls and retail centers dot almost every part of the city. Temple Marketplace and the San Tan Village a great place to start your shopping rendezvous.I'd recommend Rancho de Tia Rosa,India Oven, and Landmark Restaurant anytimeMore tax dollars should be spent on education because it's really not one of the best performing cities academically.Let me be downright honest with you, Mesa isn't great for singles. The City is conservative. If you're bold enough, you can get a date, but if you're afraid, you'd better hook up with singles via dating sites like cmatch.com.
NoiseCompared to other placesBest hospitalTourist attractions
Boeing has an installation here. So, you should expect disturbance.Mesa is a smaller close-knit city compared to its bigger neighbor and livelier Phoenix. On the brighter side, the rents, water, and electricity bills are generally lower than Prescott and the public transport system fairly well-organized. All in all, is a great place for outdoor activities. Except for the stultifying heat and traffic gridlock, the cost of living is lower and compensates for whatever else the city may not offer you. Overally, I believe Scottsdale and Phoenix have trendier homes, great restaurant, and shopping places than Mesa.Mesa has a few hospitals. The notable ones here are Arizona Joint and Spine Hospital, Banner Heart Hospital, Mountain Vista Medical Center.Mesa has several attractions. Red Mountain Park is a great attraction in Mesa. The sprawling 2,280 acres of parkland comprises a lake, a basketball court, playgrounds, and a cement volleyball court. Grand Canyon is a moment's drive away. You will find more satisfaction venturing outdoors than going shopping.
General comments
Mesa is a little slow-paced, ultra-conserved city tucked away in a valley. It lacks diversity and has no downtown or center. Streets are for the most part straight, wide, and grid-patterned. Mesa has a decent transport system, but there is just too much traffic and no good alternative. City is kept clean for the most part. On the downside, summers are cruelly hot and the city gets insanely dusty pretty much throughout the year.
