The Winters here are cold with the daytime temp of about 35 to 45 degrees. Some winters in Mint Hill will produced snow and/or sleet. Occassionally there are winters that are mild with temp of about 50' to 55' during the day. Spring and Fall are very nice and comfortable with a daytime temperature of about 75 degrees. The summers here are hot and humid. During the day the temp rises to 90 to 95 degrees. There are thunderstorms that produce strong lightning and rain.The crime is relatively low in Mint Hill, NC. It is a small town but it borders a large metropolitan and as a result its does have reports of auto theft, burglaries, domestic violence, scamming, and larceny. The residents in Mint Hill feel safe and secure for the most part.It is difficult to find a bad side of town in Mint Hill because it is full of nice homes and nice neighborhoods. The homes nears I485 may experience some of the noise from the automobiles but they are nice homes. The nice homes are spread throughout the town and some even have private pools. The are some older homes down Lawyers Rd near the border of Charlotte. Most of the residents in this area are Caucasian, African American, and Hispanic.Majority of the people in Mint Hill Caucasian but you will also find African Americans, and Hispanics. You may even see a few Asian and East Indian. The town is becoming more diverse due to the growth it is experiencing. Everyone is nice and friendly. There is a polite retired community in Mint Hill and they are more than happy to share a nice story or two with even a stranger. There are young, singles in Mint Hill as well as educated doctors and lawyers. There are also blue collar workers raising families in Mint Hill.

The downtown area is nice and well kept. Majority of the buildings are made of brick and they are occupied by restaurants, banks, and little shops. The old clock in Mint Hill is really nice to see.There are several great restaurants in Mint Hill to chose from. The most talked about restaurants are The Hill Bar and Grill, Hawthorne's New York Pizza, Sizzling Wok Chinese Restaurant, and Amor De Brazil Steakhouse.The public schools in this town are really good schools. The high school has a high graduation rate. On a scale of 1 to 10 it rates a 9.There is a lot of opportunity for singles in Mint Hill, NC because it borders a large metropolitan and if you can not meet someone in Mint Hill, you surely will just around the corner in Charlotte.

Mint Hill is just off I485 and the homes near the highway will experience some noise from it.Mint Hill is not as large as Charlotte, NC but it still has a lot to offer singles, families, and retirees. There are more commercial restaurants in Charlotte but Mint Hill does have a lot of independently owned restaurants to chose from.
Mint Hill is not as large as Gastonia, NC but it is closer to Charlotte than Gastonia and a lot of individuals work in Charlotte and live in Mint Hill so career development may be better because of this convenience.
Most of the residents in Mint Hill use Presbyterian Hospital located in Matthews, NC. This is a good hospital which is part of Novant Healthcare System.The nicest places to visit are Idlewild Park, Pine Lake Country Club, and Mint Hill Arts.
General comments   
Mint Hill is a beautiful town with very beautiful homes and landscaped yards. It feels like you are in a rural little town when you first get off I485 and head down Lawyers Rd but you will soon see that you are in a busy little town. This is a quiet, tranquil like town just at the right time and busy just at the right time. The residents are nice and friendly. There are plenty of shops for the shoppers at heart and restaurants for the foodie.
