WeatherSafetyNeighborhoodsPeople
The weather is beautiful and is equally the same during fall, winter, spring and summer. There are no hurricanes or tornadoes and the beach here is magnificent. You can go to the beach and you would have no idea if it was fall, winter, spring, or summer because the weather here is unreal. It does rain sometimes during the winter, but the rain is not heavy at all.Santa Barbara is a nice town, but I have heard of minimal crime in Downtown Santa Barbara. I have not directly experienced any crime in Santa Barbara. There is a great deal of police enforcement in downtown Santa Barbara at night. I felt safe in this city, but I have heard of other people expressing negative views, but in my opinion this city is great and if I could live here again I really would because the people are great and the night life is unreal. The best parts of town are in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area. Downtown Santa Barbara is nice during the day, but at night sometimes it wasn't the greatest experience. The homes are very nice, but it can get pricy. Any class/race you can think of lives here. The great think about Santa Barbara is that it is very diverse and people are extremely friendly. Good weather always makes people feel good rather than snowy and cold weather. The people here are extremely friendly. Young, single people and families would fit in best to this town. For the single people, there is downtown Santa Barbara. They have a great night life on Thursdays with free entrance into the clubs. The beach is minutes away and the weather is great. Many people surf and there are lessons for people who do not know how to surf. Any and everyone is a great fit for Santa Barbara because everyone loves the weather. Weather is an important factor when deciding where to live for people.
Downtown AreaRestaurantsSchoolsSingle life
Downtown area/shopping is great. They have an Apple store and really good restaurants if you love food. The best restaurants are in downtown Santa Barbara. The Italian restaurants are great. The public schools are great in Santa Barbara. Great education.Santa Barbara is the epitome for singles because downtown Santa Barbara has a great night life of bars and clubs.
NoiseCompared to other placesBest hospitalTourist attractions
There is no unusual noise in Santa Barbara.2 neighboring towns to Santa Barbara are Goleta and Isla Vista. Santa Barbara is more of the family atmosphere, similar to Goleta. Isla Vista is adjacent to UCSB and is more of a party, college kid atmosphere. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet environment I would recommend Goleta. Santa Barbara is a great place to live if you are looking for a nice night life. If you are looking to go to school, UCSB is great because Isla Vista is a very fun place to live.Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is the local hospital and it is great quality. The nicest places to visit in Santa Barbara are the beach and Downtown Santa Barbara. Also a history of the missions is very interesting.
