In the summertime, temperatures usually range between 75 and 85 degrees, but sometimes they soar into the 90's due to humidity. Spring and fall offers warmer temperatures, usually it is somewhere in between 50 and 65 degrees. You can expect very cold temperatures in the winter, many days it gets well below zero if you figure in the windchill factor. Also, you should expect rain in summer, spring and autumn, especially in June and August. In addition, there is always snow on the ground during winter months. You can expect to see or hear about both minor and major crimes. Some of the minor crimes that happen here are traffic violations, domestic violence, drunk driving and vandalism. Some of the major crimes that occur here are thefts, burglaries and assaults. Mostly, you will see thefts when it comes to major crimes. I have never heard of any murders, but there have been several rapes reported during the last few years. The crime rate here is slightly lower than most larger sized Michigan cities. There are some newer houses on Chestnut Drive and Butternut Court, many of these homes have been built within the last five years or have been remodeled thus look very modern. This area of town is just north of Highway 147. Many residents say this area of town is a good place to live. There are some older homes on Jacob and Progress Street. Many of these houses are over five years old, but most of them look nice. Of course, some kind certainly use some updating. This area of town could be considered a bad part of town. Most of the people seem to be very nice, but once or twice my family met a couple of people who seemed rude. This was when we were eating in a restaurant located in town, the waitress didn't want to waste time answering any of our questions about the food we ordered. Overall though, most people are friendly. There are more white people than any other race living in Sturgis, Michigan. I believe that most people who live here are in their 30's or 40's. If you like fast living and don't mind cold winters than you should fit perfectly here.

There are a few municipal airports in Sturgis, sometimes the planes can cause disturbing noises.Bronson is a neighboring town to Sturgis, these towns are about 20 minutes from one another. Sturgis is much larger than Bronson. White Pigeon is another neighboring town to Sturgis, it is also much smaller than Sturgis. These two towns are about 15 minutes from one another. Sturgis offers much more in regard to shopping and entertainment. If you don't mind living in a larger city than Sturgis would be the perfect fit for you. However, just remember that Sturgis has a lot more residents than Bronson or White Pigeon.Sturgis Hospital offers great service when it comes to medical care.Green Valley campground is a really nice place to take your family, it offers great scenery.
General comments
The scenery is very pretty, the town is extremely clean. There is several things to do in regard to entertainment. Most of the people are nice, just a few of them could use some improvement in welcoming other people to their town. Overall, the town is a great place to visit and live. A few of my relatives lived here back in 2011, but they moved because they found jobs in other Michigan towns.
